Welcome to Lydia's blog. The fourth daughter of Ed & Katy. She is joined us November 19, 2008. She has started out to be quite a little hand full. We had a little surprise at the end of January 2008 when we found out I was pregnant. I had gone off the pill that month because of some reactions with other medications. We sadly miscarried the next month at 7 weeks. Ed and I discussed it and decided to try again. We should of known better than to look at each other for at least a month because a few weeks later I was pregnant again. The doctor automatically was treating it as a high risk pregnancy because of the timing. April 3 I had the first ultrasound. It reveled the sac looked good but the heart wasn't developed yet. April 15 I went for another one which reveled a healthy baby, but I had developed a large mass of blood in my uterus. There is a few possible things that could of happened. A ruptured blood vessel or a torn placenta being a few. I was given a list of restrictions and sent to the front desk to schedule another ultrasound to monitor it. The next few weeks I struggled not doing anything. Anyone that knows me will tell you how independant I am. I had a hard time relaxing. May 6 back to the doctor. This time the mass was broke into two sections. The ultrasound tech believed that the one mass was already being absorbed back into my body and we prayed for the other one would follow. June 10 those prayers were answered. There was no trace of the blood mass. The tech also believed we had a little girl on our hands. July 8 it was confirmed a baby girl that looks great! Ed had already named her Lydia.
